Enter the Poetry Jam

Can a poem save a life? It's possible. Collisions in highway work zones happen way too often. And many could have been prevented if people were smarter about driving in and around the Cone Zone. Car crashes are the number one cause of death for people aged 16-20. That's why we're asking high school students like you to speak your mind and the truth in our "Slow for the Cone Zone Poetry Jam." Think you can do better?

Write your own poem on one of these two themes and submit it by December 8, 2006. Enter your poem by mail along with an entry form to:
